Welcome Letter For Parents
Welcome Letter for Parents
I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year. Please feel free to contact me through Remind, by phone (772-3384), or by email firstname.lastname@example.org. As we start the school year, there are a few things that you should know.
Becoming more independent and organized is a very important skill for fourth grade students to learn. Please remind your child to clean out and organize his or her bookbag each week. I will send text messages through REMIND about upcoming tests and important events. Please sign up in order to stay connected and informed.
I check my email and Remind account daily. If you have a question and I don't know the answer to it, I will find someone who does and get back to you as soon as possible.
Two composition notebooks will be needed, one for Journal Writing and one for Word Study. These are the traditional black and white, bond 200 page composition notebooks. Different colors will be fine.
Your child will NOT need a binder. Folders will be provided for take-home study guides and notes. Study guides will also be available in our Google Classroom.
Reading homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday. Homework will be due on Friday. Those who turn in completed Reading Homework on Friday will receive Gator Bucks for each night's completed homework.
Once again, please sign up for Remind and Parent Portal. Parent Portal is the place you will find your child's posted grades.
This should be enough information to get us started. Again, I am excited about another year at GES. Together we can make this year a fabulous learning experience for your child.
