All About Mrs. MorganMy name is Cindy Morgan. I am a fifth grade teacher at Ebenezer Elementary. This is my 25th year as a teacher, all of which have been at Ebenezer Elementary School. I began the year EES opened teaching 3rd grade. After nine years there, I moved to 1st grade. During this time I wanted to learn more about reading development in young readers and became one of our school's Reading Recovery teachers. I earned my Reading Endorsement from Georgia State University and continued to teach Reading Recovery and Reading Interventions with Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders. I missed having my own "classroom family" and love teaching 5th grade. This is such an important age for children and I am so happy to be a part of it.I have lived in Effingham County my entire life. I grew up in Springfield and graduated from ECHS. I graduated from Armstrong Atlantic University with a Bachelors in Early Education degree and later earned a Masters Degree in Reading from Georgia Southern University . Reading and Writing are my favorite subjects to teach and I hope to instill a love for these subjects in every one of my students. One of my favorite things to do is sit quietly and read a good book. I read all kinds of books and get excited to learn about new authors . I also love to watch reality TV, play the piano, watch sports, and spend time with my family. My family lives in Clyo on our family's farm. I am married to Michael and we have two daughters, Elizabeth and Caroline. Elizabeth is a Senior at Georgia Southern University (GO Eagles!), and Caroline is in the 11th grade at ECHS (GO Rebels!). We are very active in the Springfield United Methodist Church. Family is very important to me and I love spending time with my husband and girls.
