Marti SmithI have lived in Effingham County for 34 years. I graduated from Effingham County High School in 1992. I earned a B.S in Middle Grades Education from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 1997. I graduated in the summer of 2012 from Georgia Southern University with a Masters in Instructional Technology. In January, I earned my Educational Specialist degree in Media at the University of West Georgia in December 2015. I taught sixth grade ELA at ECMS for 14 years before becoming the Media Specialist. I earned GEORGIA MASTER TEACHER in 2010. I was the competition/football cheerleading head coach for six years, but this year, I have stepped down to assistant and am enjoying my "semi-retirement". I enjoy reading, photography, technology, the beach, shopping, and sadly, playing with snapchat filters!I have been married to my husband, Glenn, for almost 20 years, and we have a son, Skylar, who is sixteen and is a junior at ECHS. He plays Euphonium in the Wind Ensemble, Tube in Concert Band, Trombone in Jazz Band and plays Baritone with both the Rebel Regiment and the Pep Band. We are avid University of South Carolina fans. We have two dogs, Ollie and Olive, and two cats, Pooka and Finn. We enjoy going to the beach, going to Gamecock sporting events, and watching Skylar play with his bands. I also enjoy photography (but Skylar...not so much).Cindy RaganI am a Georgia native and a graduate of ECHS class of 1987. I earned an Associate of Arts degree in Psychology from Andrew College in Cuthbert, Georgia and went on to the University of Georgia to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I have been married for 28 years and have two children,. My son, Donovan, attends Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona, FLA, and my daughter, Cathryn is attending Middle Georgia State University in Macon, GA. I am an active member of Mizpah United Methodist Church in Clyo and a member of the choir there. I am an animal lover & enjoy reading, watching movies and doing crafts & home improvements.I am especially suited for my job in the ECMS media center due to my love of people, books & learning!
