    Hey everyone!  I am so glad you have stopped by to learn more about me. I was born in Dayton, Ohio but moved to Georgia when I was 13 years old.  I have lived in Effingham County ever since. 
     
    This school year marks my 20th year in education. I've taught second and third grades. I am very excited to be teaching the Gifted classes again this year at GES. I went to Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA -- Go Eagles!  I obtained my BS in Early Childhood education in 2002, my Master's in Instructional Technology (with certification as a Media Specialist) in 2008, and my Educational Specialist in Teaching and Learning with a concentration in Instructional Technology in 2013...all from GSU! :)
     
    I have the cutest and sweetest pup alive! She is a dark salt and pepper miniature schnauzer named Pippa Kate. She is spoiled rotten just like a real child and loves to play with her toys and go on walks every evening. I love sports (Go Buckeyes...O-H), traveling, the beach, shopping, musicals, running, nature, all the adventures, and Jesus. :)
     
    My parents are very special to me and were perfect role models. I strive to be like them on a daily basis. My dad went to heaven in 2010 after fighting a courageous battle against cancer. He will always be my hero. My mom had breast cancer and was the strongest lady I have ever known. She went to heaven in 2013.
     
    I am looking forward to a great year in GT with all my kiddos! :)
