My name is Mrs. McGee, and I am excited to continue teaching the Gifted and Talented classes at Blandford.   I've taught in several different districts in South Carolina and Georgia during my 30 years of teaching. Wow!  I can't believe this is my 31st year of teaching, and I have no plans to retire in the near future.

I graduated from Winthrop University many years ago.  I am endorsed to teach gifted education.  I am also certified as a Montessori teacher.  I believe that students learn best by doing, and by using as many of the senses as possible.  I also believe that learning should be fun.  I want my students to become life-long learners.

I am a resident of Effingham County and the mother of three children.  My husband, son, and I live in Rincon. Our daughters are grown.  One lives in Rincon and one lives in Athens.   We are members of Rincon United Methodist Church.  I love being outside, whether I am playing, working, or gardening.  I also love making things--crafts, sewing, stamping, cooking, etc.  Most of all, I love being a teacher and working with children!
