Lori Moreland, Ed.S.
Hello! I am glad you are visiting my website. I am a special education teacher at Sand Hill Elementary. I have taught at Sand Hill for 23 years. I received my bachelor's degree in Special Education/Learning Disabilities from the University of North Florida and my master's degree in Special Education/Emotional and Behavior Disorders from Armstrong Atlantic State University. I completed my specialist degree at Nova Southeastern University in the area of Brain Research. I am also certified in Elementary Education. It was an honor to be Sand Hill's Teacher of the Year for the 2007-2008 school year.
I became interested in special education because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of students who have learning and emotional/behavioral difficulties. My goal is to help the students I serve be as successful as they can possibly be. It is also important to me to have a strong parent-teacher relationship.
Sand Hill is a wonderful place to be! We have great students and teachers. Mrs. Kayce Beasley works with me as a paraprofessional and has been in education for 12 years. Mrs. Beasley and I enjoy our students and believe that learning should be an adventure.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I have a wonderful time volunteering through various mission projects. I also love being outdoors. Some of my hobbies include photography, camping, hiking and biking.
