    The Public Hearing and regularly scheduled board meeting on January 3, 2018 will be held at Ebenezer Middle School. The Public Hearing will be at 5:30 p.m. with board meeting to follow at 6:30 p.m.
    The Public Hearing and regularly scheduled board meeting on January 18, 2018 will be held at South Effingham Middle School. The Public Hearing will be at 6:00 p.m. with board meeting to follow at 7:00 p.m.

  • New School District Information
    The Effingham County School District is considering a proposal to modify the current school district lines across the county. Effingham County parents/guardians are, therefore, invited to attend one or all of three public hearings to review the proposed district changes. Please visit our Transportation website for more information.

  • Federal Programs Decision-Making Meeting
    The Effingham County Board of Education would like to invite all Effingham County School District parents/guardians to attend the Title IA, Federal Programs District Shared Decision-Making meeting scheduled to take place Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 9:00AM. The goal of this meeting is to provide information to parents/guardians and community members regarding the Effingham County School District’s involvement with federal programs and how each of these programs function within our district’s Title I schools.   • Central Office Holidays
    The Board of Education Central Office will be open during its normal hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Wednesday. The BOE will be closed for Thanksgiving on November 23 - 24. The BOE will be closed  for Christmas/New Year's holidays December 22 - January 1 and will re-open January 2, 2018.
    The Central Registration Center will be open during its normal hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Tuesday. The CRC will be closed for Thanksgiving on November 22 - 24. The CRC will be closed for Christmas/New Year's holidays December 25 - January 1 and will re-open January 2, 2018.

  • Medicare & Peachcare Enrollment
    The Rincon Public Library is providing free assistance for enrollment or renewal of these services every third Saturday or by appointment. Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids are no-cost or low-cost public health insurance programs for children 0-19. Children can get regular check-ups, immunizations, doctor and dentist visits, hospital stays, mental health services, prescriptions and more.   • Parents' Right to Know
    Parents may request the following information regarding teacher qualifications as required by the "Every Student Succeeds" Act: Information regarding their student’s classroom teacher’s certificate or credentials, and/or college major and graduate degree information. Parents may also request information regarding the licensing and training of paraprofessionals. Requests may be made in writing to the school principal or Mrs. Susan Hartzog, Director of Human Resources, Effingham County BOE, 405 North Ash Street, Springfield, GA 31329.

  • District Online Learning Guidelines 
    In a cooperative effort with GaVS, ECSD encourages students to consider an online option for either courses that are not locally available or for courses the student may believe themselves to be more successful in when taken in an online environment.
