Course descriptions, parent letter, and curriculum information!

Parents: Now that COVID-19 has caused school closure your student needs to pay close attention to my Google Classroom for all assignments. I will be updating assignments and checking for comments from students throughout the day.

Students need to check their Google Classroom for assignments! The assignments will have the due date in the top left corner. It will also show whether you have completed the assignment by signifying "Done" in green.

Overview: There will be very little homework in any of my classes.  There will be notes to study for quiz's and tests which will be provided for them in Google Classroom.  The quiz's and tests will cover career and computer skills information. All class assignments will be listed on Google Classroom which is set up for each individual class for each student to know what is being discussed in class and when the assignments are due. There will be various projects throughout the semester using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher).  The projects will have an introduction (practice) activity that will count as a daily grade. Then a more detailed project will be assigned that will count as a test grade. This project will take several class days to complete, however I encourage each student to work on these projects at home if at all possible. There will be some projects that will involve group work with other students in class. During these group projects each student is responsible for the project, however checklists for progress will be given periodically throughout their work time. The final grade on the project will be given to each students according to the work that each student contributed to during the group project. The checklist that was scored for the individual student will also affect the final grade.
