  • Georgia Parent School Climate Survey

As part of the School Climate Star Rating, each school in Georgia must have parents complete the Georgia Parent Survey specific to the school.  This short survey may be completed on the parent’s personal computer, smartphone, or tablet.  Parents may also come to ECHS to complete the survey at school.  We would like to encourage all parents to complete this survey.

  • Effingham County High School to Hold

    Georgia Apply to College Event

Springfield, November 2017—Effingham County High School is excited to announce that it has been selected to participate in Georgia Apply to College Day, an annual event sponsored by Communities in Schools, the Georgia Department of Education, the Georgia Independent College Association, the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education, the Georgia Student Finance Commission, the Technical College System of Georgia, and the University System of Georgia.

Effingham County High School’s event will be held on November 14-15, 2017.  As they navigate the college application process, seniors will receive hands-on assistance from volunteers, many of whom are from local colleges and universities, businesses, and community organizations.  The goal is for each student to successfully complete at least one college admission application using the GAFutures.org website.  GAFutures.org is Georgia’s online resource providing lots of information for students as they plan, apply, and pay for college.  The site serves as a valuable resource for application and financial aid information for public and private colleges and universities in the state of Georgia.

For more information about Effingham County High School’s Georgia Apply to College Day, please contact Mimi Lovett Hayes at mhayes@effingham.k12.ga.us  or at (912)754-6404 Ext. 1232.

    A note from our Principal
What really matters is not so much what students at Effingham County High School walk away with in their hands, but how many sparks we ignite in their hearts. There’s no doubt students want inspiration more than they want stuff. The caring faculty member, not the content, determines whether students at our school walk away ignited or extinguished. Our faculty understands that the influence we have on children is powerful. Be it positive or negative, it is lasting. Read more
