As of July 2, 2020 students enrolled in the Effingham County School District will have two options for attending school for the 2020-2021 school year. Students may choose to take classes at home in a virtual environment while remaining enrolled in the Effingham County School District or they may choose to take classes in a face to face setting in the physical school building. This opportunity will only be provided for a limited period of time under the current COVID-19 conditions

Pre Order Your School Apparel for Next YearThe Stable, our SEMS school store, is offering pre-orders for school approved apparel for the 2020-2021 school year. If you would like to pre-order your merchandise for next year, please visit the website below. Be sure to select "Local Pickup" for the shipping method. You will be able to pick up your pre-orders at scheduled times at SEMS starting July 31 or at Open House.Pre-orders will remain open until June 15. Additional items will be available during Open House. Discounted items such as long-sleeve t-shirts and discontinued outerwear will be available during Open House as well.
Any student that wishes to participate in conditioning or tryout for a sport must have a current physical on file, The forms for these physicals can be found on the SEMS Web Site on the Athletics Home tab. To check the status of a physical previously turned in please email email@example.com. Students that get a new physical can bring them to the coach on the first day of conditioning or email a scanned copy to firstname.lastname@example.orgComp Cheer: Tryouts will be July 29-30, please check the Cheerleading Section of the Athletic Tab of the SEMS website on a regular basisGame Squad Cheer: Tryouts will be August 5-7, please check the Cheerleading Section of the Athletic Tab of the SEMS website on a regular basisFootball: Summer conditioning starts on Tuesday June 16, please email Cklassen@effingham.k12.ga.us for further information. Due to COVID-19 conditioning spaces are limited. (7th and 8th grade only)Softball: Summer conditioning starts June 8, complete form on the softball webpage and email HNward@effingham.k12.ga.us to see if there is availability for conditioning as groups are limited due to COVID-19. Tryouts will be July 29-31, you do not have to attend conditioning in order to try out; but you must sign up on the softball webpage.Volleyball: Tryouts will be August 10-14, please check the Volleyball Section of the Athletic Tab of the SEMS website on a regular basisTennis: Information for tennis will be given out once we return to school, tryouts will start on or near August 26, 2020ONCE AGAIN PHYSICALS ARE MANDATORY FOR ANY PARTICIPATION.

When schools are closed to the public, the Certificate of Enrollment required for a student's DDS appointment can be ordered by completing our request form and will be available for pick up every Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at our Central Office located at 405 N. Ash Street, Springfield, GA 31329. There is a $5.00 fee for each copy. You may pay online with Visa, MasterCard, and Discover or you may pay at the time of pickup with cash, money order, or check. CLICK HERE to submit your request.
Any Requests received after 12 p.m. on Friday will be available for pickup the following Friday.
- All visitors to the campus must report to the front Office
- A picture id is required to sign out a student
- You must be on the pickup list or parent must send a note to sign a student out
- NO Transportation Changes will be made after 3:00
- Cut off time to sign out a student is 3:30 (1/2 days... changes 12:00 sign out 12:15)
- Late bell is at 8:20, you must be in the building
- Parents need to sign in late students
- Any notes requesting to ride a bus must have the address the student is riding to and the route #
- For bus route information go to ECBOE websit>transportation>click on the link>key in student id for user and password. This will give you your bus info
- If your child is at a school event but not on campus, we must mark them as present not on site. Please check your portal to see if the absence shows exempt before calling to let the school know your child was marked absent.

Parents please do not use your student's portals or reset their passwords. Students actively use their portals in middle school and high school. We set them up and teach them how to keep up with their portal information. Thank you!
