The Effingham BOE is partnering with Woodmen Life for a countywide canned food drive.  This food drive will take place October 22- 26th.  Woodmen Life is sponsoring an award for the two schools who come in First and Second place with per capita giving.  The First Place award is $1,000 and the Second Place award is $500.  Our Beta Club will be coordinating the canned food collection efforts again this year.  BES took first place last year and won the $1,000 award for our school. Over fifteen tons of canned goods were collected countywide last year. Several hundred families in Effingham were helped by this food drive. Please consider donating canned goods to help this worthy cause!
