Welcome to Blandford Elementary's Title One Information Center!
Blandford is officially designated as a School Wide Title 1 School. Title 1 is a federally funded program that provides services to schools that meet a minimum requirement for the number of students in the Free and Reduced Lunch Program. Academic support, which supplements classroom instruction, is provided to students in need. This support is provided by Terry Baker, our Title 1 teacher, and two Title 1 paraprofessionals who are also certified teachers. They are Lindsey Sutherland and Brittany Joyner.
Blandford has a Title 1 Family Resource Center. This center has many educational games which parents may borrow to use with their children to review important concepts learned in class in a fun way. If you'd like to borrow a game, just send a permission note in with your child. Identify which subject you would like the game to cover, and a game will be chosen that is appropriate for the student's grade level and needs. The games may be checked out for a week at a time. Also available through the Family Resource Center are practice worksheets that cover the Georgia Perfdormance Standards. On order are numerous parent help books, CD's, and DVD's that Blandford parents, grandparents, and guardians may borrow.
