  • unclesam Please join us in celebrating Veteran's Day on Thursday, November 10th with a program in the gym starting at 8:15 A.M.. Immediately following the program, there will be a reception for Veterans and their families in the school Commons Area.  After the reception, BES will hold a parade for all Veterans and their students on the bus ramp located in the back of the school. Students who have family members who are Veterans may partipate in the reception and march in the parade. All other students will line up on the Bus Ramp in the back of the school to watch the parade and cheer them on!  Students may wear red, white, and blue shirts to school on this day with their uniform bottoms. Friday, November 11th will be a school holiday.  Happy Veteran's Day!

  • art   Square 1 Art is coming!  Support your young artist and BES.  Free stickers of your student's art and personalized catalogs will go home on November 2nd.   Paper orders for keepsakes are due by November 15th.   Online orders are available year round.  Keepsakes will arrive on December 2nd, just in time for the holidays!  Thank you for your continued support of the Arts!

  • Parent University 2016-17 Schedule
    Parent University has released its schedule for the upcoming school year. Parents will find helpful classes on curriculum, testing preparation, technology, and leadership classes. All parents are welcome to attend. Classes start September 17th. If you are interested, download the application and schedule sheets or visit Parent University's website.

  • Volunteer Training Online Module



    There is a mandatory online training module for all parents and visitors to BES.  If you plan on visiting BES for class parties, a field trip, or to volunteer at our school, you must complete the online training module.

    *You only need to complete the Mandated Reporting module that is listed under "Standard Modules".

    Upon completion of the module, enter your email address and click 'submit'.  You will then receive an email to confirm that you have completed the required module.  Please forward this email to our BES School Counselor Mrs. Erin Watson at ewatson@effingham.k12.ga.us.  Please include your child's name on the email.  You may instead choose to print out a paper copy of the email confirmation and send it in to Mrs. Watson at BES.  If you have any questions please call Mrs. Watson at 912-826-4200.


    Please remember that the Mandated Reporter training is required each year for anyone who wishes to volunteer at BES.  Thank you!

A note from our Principal
Blandford Elementary takes pride in its parent involvement program. Parents are frequently found volunteering in the classroom, with the AR program, in the media center, and in Book Fairs. The local scout troop has assisted with the building of outdoor classroom areas including an amphitheater.
