Philosophy and Mission Statement
Philosophy
The Business Education and Computer Science Program is an integral part of the Career, Technical and Agricultural Education programs at Effingham County High School. The basic function of the BCS Program is to provide an educational opportunity for the students of the community. Job, career, and foundational skills are taught in the business pathways. The students use these skills to pursue careers and to become better consumers.
Mission Statement
The goals of the Business Education and Computer Science Program at Effingham County High School are:
1. To offer specialized pathways for students wishing to further their education or to become employed in the business field.
2. To offer pathways that are beneficial to all students by relating them to academic as well as other CTAE pathways.
3. To ensure the information provided to the students meets industry and/or community requirements.
4. To graduate students who are pathway completers and who are prepared for entry level employment or post secondary training.
